Support CarbonBuzz; online survey closes April 17

I have written repeatedly in the AJ about CarbonBuzz, the RIBA/CIBSE online platform for energy monitoring of buildings which enables architects and engineers to compare new projects against established benchmarks for operational energy use. As part of its next phase, the CarbonBuzz team has developed a brief questionnaire to get feedback for improving the tool. You can access the survey, which closes on April 17. here:

This very worthwhile tool tackles energy monitoring head on and presents it in a way that architects can readily understand. Initially funded by UrbanBuzz, CarbonBuzz was developed with input from a variety of practices including Aedas, Sheppard Robson, BDP, and FeildenCleggBradley Studios. Launched in November 2008, the site had 126 registered users and over 110 projects as of 1st April 2009,.

Ongoing support for CarbonBuzz is now being sought and the RIBA has secured funding for preparation of a business plan from The Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR).  Davis Langdon has been appointed to prepare the business plan. The survey will help inform the business plan.

Please take 5 to 10 minutes to complete this survey and support this worthwhile online tool.  It’s free - let’s keep it that way.
