BREEAM Communities, a new member of the BREEAM suite of environmental assessment ratings, was launched yesterday after piloting across 9 UK regions.
BREEAM Communities builds on the existing Regional Sustainability Checklists already familiar to many developers and assesses projects across eight categories:
Climate change and energy - flooding, heat island, water effciency, sustainable energy, site infrastructure
