AIA announces top 10 green buildings for 2009

The AIA’s Committee on the Environment announced its top ten buildings for the year this week.  My personal favourites are the Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center by Lake/Flato in Orange, Texas (near Houston) and Terry Thomas Architects own offices in Seattle.

London’s abandoned petrol stations to be recharged

American firm Evoasis announced its plan this week to convert dozens of London’s disused petrol stations into electric car-charging points. Word on the street: it pays to be green
