It was great to see such a fantastic turnout at the Interbuild BSF roadshow last Friday.  118 companies including Tarmac, Travis Perkins and Carillion made the trip to the Hyatt in Birmingham (despite the city centre being closed for most of the day!) to hear me present our plans for this new show.

We have some terrific news. Sylvia McNamara, Director of Transforming Education at Birmingham City Council, is going to give a 20 minute presentation at the Interbuild BSF Roadshow this Friday.

This week it was announced that the Health & Safety Executive will be forced to reveal the names of construction workers killed on building sites, as well as who they worked for and how they were killed.

The Partnerships for Schools agency has said that it has already exceeded its targets for school for the past year with 54 schools now built with the aim of creating 200 BSF schools a year by 2011.
