Our dates are set: 2,3 and 4 November, back at the CCIB in Barcelona: this year’s World Architecture FestivalĀ is starting to take shape, with a formal launch of our revamped website at the beginning of March, when we will be giving full details of this year’s judges, media partners, and some exciting initiatives we will be adding to this year’s event.
We will be open for competition entries fromĀ April as usual, and look forward to the usual truly international response.
In the meantime we are holding a lunch event in New York next week, where we hope to see many of the generous Manhattanites who have taken part in WAF since our launch in 2008, or have offered generous time as judges and speakers.
We are also planning launch receptions in Barcelona, London and Dubai, and hope to run a WAF preview event in Tokyo to coincide with the International union of Architects congress at the end of September.
Our NY media partner, the Architect’s Newspaper, will be co-hosting the Manhattan event, and I look forward to providing a report of the event in a couple of weeks’ time.
In the meantime, I hope you will at least pencil in the November dates for a potential trip to the city of Gaudi.
