last pic ‘n’ mix sells for £14,500

I thought it was pretty cool that the last bag of Woolies’ pic ‘n’ mix sold for over £14,000 at the weekend, it just goes to show how undervalued the store was!

I bet loads of people are now kicking themselves for giving in to temptation and gorging themselves on pineapple chunks and cola bottles when they could have been making a fortune out of them instead…

Really?! I think someone has had this guy pants down! £14.5k for some sweets - please! Don’t get me wrong I love pick n mix and was pretty distraught at the thought of not being able to pop into Woolies any more for a quick fix, but I doubt the sweets were worth that much. In fact I don’t believe that all of the sweets are not sill available - the sweets were Candy King anyway who are still fully operational and functioning!

I have to say I agree, seems like an awful lot of money, unless it was some kind of publicity stunt (in which case it worked!)!. At least the money went to a good cause….

Can’t see it being the ‘end’ for Pick n Mix either - I always got mine from service stations even before Woolies closed.
