Where’s this recession then?!

Sorry, Shop has been a bit quiet over the past few days, much on don’t you know. On Sunday I was treated to an early Birthday shopping spree, lucky me, I know! After some consideration me and my chosen partner for the occasion, took to Oxford Street for some much needed retail therapy. Shepherds Bush’s Westfield is just not so fun somehow, it seems much more of a purpose visit than somewhere to go for a general wander? It had been so long since I last shopped on a Sunday that I had in fact forgotten that shops don’t open until 12, doh! I was totally amazed to see people queuing to get into Primark from 11 onwards, I can now totally understand why there were fights when it first opened! Some of these folks are brutal! Every shop I went into was completely packed from 12 until after 4, I can see why people are increasingly asking ‘Where’s this recession then?!’ I seem to get conflicting messages all the time, friends losing jobs but then others getting new ones, ever-failing M&S profits down, ASOS doing amazingly well, suppliers buying in new ranges, other going out of business. What’s the deal here?
