Snoopy and Dilbert sold to Iconix Brands

Snoopy, Charlie Brown and friends have been sold to Iconix Brands. The characters’ transfer came about when United Media Licensing, which owns Snoopy licensee EW Scripps was acquired by Iconix in a deal worth £115 million. This includes a 20 per cent stake put up by the family of original Snoopy cartoonist Charles Schulz. Another United Media Licensing characters transferred to Iconix is Dilbert, which rakes in £1.3 billion annually via some 20,000 character merchandise products.
