Tiny Tatty Teddy teams up with Simple

The skincare brand Simple is reaching out to mothers by adopting a new mascot in the form of Tiny Tatty Teddy, a line extension of the Me to You brand, which is owned by greetings card and gift manufacturer, Carte Blanche Greetings.

Simple adopted the lovable grey bear in response to what it claims is a “growing need for kinder products in the baby market”, highlighting the fact that its range contains no perfume or colour. The company is set to launch a junior skincare range next month.

CBG’s marketing manager, Jocasta Kelsey, said: “This is an exciting partnership, which brings together two number one brands from different industries. The Me to You core values of gentleness, kindness and trust match those of Simple Baby.Tiny Tatty Teddy is a wonderful new addition to Me to You, and he has been captured beautifully on the Simple Baby packaging in bespoke illustrations by our team of award-winning artists. Together, Simple Baby and Tiny Tatty Teddy embody the warmth and happiness that parents can relate to at bath time.”

Simple, which was purchased by Alberto Culver in December, hired design agency BrandMe to revive and repackage its baby range, with a view to taking market-leader Johnson & Johnson head-on.
Carte Blanche has licensed Tatty Teddy onto a wide array of products, from jewellery and cakes to car accessories and clothing, but this is the first time the company has permitted its stellar brand to be used in association with an FMCG product.
